Experience Sorrento
We will tell you about the places we genuinely love
Welcome to the heart of our city.
From Palazzo Tasso, everything is nearby. It is not just a question of distance, it is that Sorrento takes you over bit by bit, with its views, fragrances, encounters and moments to remember.
Our aim is not to give you a long list of tourist activities. We prefer to tell you what we recommend to our friends when they come to visit.
Begin from the Piazza, but do not stop there
Piazza Tasso is the heart of the city, of course. However, if you take the side lanes, you will discover a more authentic Sorrento, with artisan shops, hidden courtyards, and the fragrance of lemons everywhere.
We recommend you let yourself get lost among the lanes in the historic centre. Every corner tells a story.
Enjoy a sensory experience
Sorrento is full of flavours and fragrances. From the artisan limoncello to hazelnut ice-cream, from lemon delights to the granita served in the traditional bars.
Don’t just look at the menu; ask, taste and let yourself be surprised.
Swimming in the bluest waters
Renting a boat is a wonderful way to see Sorrento from the sea.
We recommend setting out early morning, when the coast is still silent and all just for you.
And if you love adventure, Capri is just around the corner.
Look out to sea when you get the chance
The panorama from Villa Comunale is pure poetry: the Coast, Vesuvius, and that light that changes with every passing hour.
If you like walking, take a stroll down towards Marina Grande. This is an ancient fishing village where time passes more slowly. Taking a seat there, with a glass of wine and your feet almost in the water, is a small luxury not to be missed.
A little history
The Cloister of San Francesco is a silent corner, full of grace.
And if you want to spend a half day out, Pompei and Ercolano are easy to reach and worth every moment.
Ask for information in reception: we can help you organise your excursion.
Our recommendations
Take time to watch the people. Time here passes at a different pace.
Enjoy at least one slow breakfast, sitting in Piazza Tasso and watching the city come to life.
Sorrento is beautiful even in the off-peak periods. Perhaps even more so.
