Completely renovated in August 2011, was one of the historic homes of one of the most famous and influential Italian poets of the sixteenth century (late renaissance): Torquato Tasso, to whom “Palazzo Tasso” is dedicated to, and also the main city square “Piazza Tasso”. He is also author of “La Gerusalemme Liberata” (1575) which depicts the First Crusade and the Crusaders siege of Jerusalem under the leadership of Godfrey of Boulogne, describing the clashes between Christians and Muslims.
